“余坦平”這個名字很普通,他之前問過媽媽,為什么取一個這樣淡得跟白開水一樣得名字,媽媽說:大姐出生的時候,再想要個兒子,所以取名為“連弟”希望接下來就生個弟弟,后來我二姐出生了,又取名為“帶弟”,可能大家會認為媽媽重男輕女,其實在面朝黃土背朝天的農民來講,男孩不僅僅是傳宗接代,更是一種生產力,我媽媽說,在做我月子的時候,外面下著雨,就取名為“坦平”希望我往后的人生不要像爸爸媽媽那么苦,有一個平坦的人生,這或許是一個母親對自己孩子一種最樸實的期待:期待是期待,但現實是現實。余坦平的早年生活卻并不是一帆風順的。1986年,他出生于江西上饒的一個普通農戶家庭。當時,中國雖然已經改革開放,但這個閉塞的小山村依然經濟落后,而余家更因為孩子多,成為遠近聞名的貧困戶。據余坦平回憶:小時候,人家的孩子已經都有新衣服穿,但我和我姐姐穿的衣服是從我三叔家撿回來的。面對物質貧乏,余坦平只能上山采野果果腹……

放棄學業(yè)之后,余坦平開始用自己稚嫩的肩膀扛起生活的重擔,到江西省會南昌謀生活。在一年半的時間里,余坦平做了很多工作,也經歷過一些令人心酸的事情。由于學歷不夠、身上盤纏不足,他的工作時斷時續(xù),很多時候只能流浪過街頭、夜宿公園,他做過飯店的傳菜員,加工過皮鞋,干過室內裝修工,直到后來進入了汽車維修行業(yè)。

在結婚之后,為了養(yǎng)家糊口,余坦平繼續(xù)苦練汽車維修本領。憑借自己的干勁、鉆研精神,余坦平在汽車維修領域的技能不斷提升,成為有口皆碑的大師傅,并在一家公司內擔任技術總監(jiān),在2013年的時候,和之前公司領導們從溫州來到舉目無親的上海創(chuàng)業(yè),入了一點股份,投資的錢還是按年化率10%借來的,我們從創(chuàng)業(yè)到確定企業(yè)能活下來,團隊用了三年的時間,在這三年的時間里,除了回老家看孩子和父母,基本上工作服沒離身,每天都在車間,也沒有什么休息日之說,在那三年里,日子也不富裕,工資要還房貸,家里要開銷,還要還債務,后來公司有利潤了,家里的日子才過的稍微寬裕一點。但只是相對寬裕一點,如果一直這樣下去,或許小康生活沒問題,但真正的苦難來了。
